I Have Good News!!

Below is a letter written by one of our Lower Campus parents to her child's teachers. It expresses the relationship that we hope each child at Unity Christian School comes to have with Christ and the support we hope each family feels. Don't forget, you can leave your thoughts on any blog post by clicking the "comments" link on the bottom of the post.

Dear Mrs. Amy and Mrs. Boling,

Parker has talked about being "babitized" since his sister Macy was saved (October 2007) and baptized in January 2008.

When he first said he wanted to be baptized, I asked him what it meant. He was not sure at that time. But a few weeks later, we were lying in bed. He was very still and quiet. A few moments later, he announced, "I have GOOD NEWS!! I want to be 'babitized'." When I asked him what that meant, he said, "I've asked the Lord to come live in my heart!" He was so excited. He named all of our family, his teachers, and all of his friends at school that he wanted to be there when he was "babitized". He wanted to call all of our family. He told them all about his decision! He's also told his Sunday School teacher.

We are so thankful and excited! Thank you for all that you do to teach Parker about Jesus' love and forgiveness. He has grown more than we could've ever imagined this year not only socially but especially spiritually. Thanks again for all that you have done to lead Parker to Christ.

Love,
Beth

Dear Jesus,

I want to thank you for everything that you have done for me, like how you gave me my family that I love. If you didn't give me a dad, I wouldn't be so good at sports. If you didn't give me a mom, I wouldn't have somebody that understands what the doctor says. Thanks for everything.

Love,

Christian P.
